Japanese Nakiri Knife - Shogun Series
Beautiful knife. My son bought this 2 years ago and I used his. I’ve wanted one since. Finally bought it. Lv it. Cuts beautifully. Love the fact I can scoup and move ingredients with it. Works great. Thanks

Absolutely beautiful
The knife is beautiful, extremely sharp and well balanced. I am so glad I bought it; using it is a pleasure and makes chopping everything so much easier, The only thing I’m sorry about is that I didn’t buy this sooner.

Awesome Knife!
I love this knife, yes it is heavy, but so comfortable to use, and slices through onion and potatoes with ease and precision- surprisingly enough because it is a heavy knife. This is an every day driver, nice Damascus pattern, great blade guard, well worth the price!

first venture into japanese style knives.
Advertised as a "ruthlessly sharp edge" and they weren't kidding. My old dull western style chef's knive would require using the point to "stab start" the cut on an onion when removing the top/root and then push the knive through the rest of the cut. This knife requires no "stab start" and just glides through the onions. Full disclosure: I did wrap all four fingers around the handle when I picked it up, then tried to "swing" my index finger around the bottom of the knife up to the back of the blade for a pinch grip and of course I caught the no-bolster back corner of the blade with my index finger. Didn't even feel it, a second later I thought "why does this feel wet?" when I saw the gash in my finger... Total operator error. Don't do what I did!
HIGH-PERFORMANCE STAINLESS STEEL
Manufactured with ultra-premium 67-layered stainless Damascus steel at HRC 58-60 hardness, this 7 in. utility nakiri vegetable knife boasts unrivaled performance and incredible edge retention; the cobalt added steel outperforms AUS-10 steel in durability and is easier to sharpen, since cobalt enhances the other alloying elements.
INCREDIBLE SHARPNESS
The nakiri knife's ruthlessly sharp edge is handcrafted by seasoned artisans to a mirror polish at 8-12° per side using the traditional 3-step Honbazuke method; cryogenically treated for incredible hardness, flexibility, and corrosion resistance.
ERGONOMIC & WELL-BALANCED
The straight blade ensures the nakiri knife slices through meat with ease while alleviating fatigue and finger pains from long periods of slicing or chopping, perfectly blending control and comfort.
DURABLE HANDLE
The meticulously constructed, triple-riveted G10 handle has gone through special treatment, making it extremely impervious to heat, cold, and moisture; accented with a mosaic pin.
